Meet the Youth Panel

Meet the young adults on our guest panel, who shared their stories. Special thanks to Destiny Massey, for her participation.

Anjola Aderinto
Anjola Aderinto is a recent graduate from the University of Winnipeg. She currently works as a policy analyst. She enjoys listening to Finance podcasts and reading books about personal finance. The best book she has read about finance so far is The Richest Man in Babylon by George Clason.

 

 

Varun Gudral
Varun Gudral is an Administrative Assistant working in the Financial & Administrative Branch for the Department of Manitoba Agriculture. Hailing from a small town in Himachal Pradesh, India, Varun decided to pursue higher education with a view of global exposure. He is a promising supply chain professional combining cross-functional competencies in procurement, vendor management, quality, and project management. With his expertise in project and procedure implementation, continuous improvement, and change management, he has positively contributed towards organizational goals. He is currently pursuing master’s in supply chain management from Asper School of Business, where he is also serving as the Vice President of two associations. Owing to his experience, he is great in identifying challenging areas and achieving corrective measures. Recognized by executive management as a dependable leader, Varun is also a great team player and a mentor.

 

Caressa Heinrichs
Caressa Heinrichs is an Investigation Assistant & Evidence Coordinator for the Manitoba Securities Commission. She works with both investigators and the legal department on ongoing cases. The investigations department receives inquiries and complaints from the public, industry and other regulators. They also recommend Investor Alerts and Cautions to warn the public about investment scams. Caressa holds a Bachelor Degree in Sociology as well as a Graduate Certificate in Intelligence Analysis.

 

 

Destiny Massey

I’ve been an independent homeowner since I was 16 years old due to my mom’s passing. Dealing with financial matters as a young adult are tough sometimes but I am grateful to have the knowledge I do moving forward. I am currently finishing my grade 12 and aspire to become a tattoo artist that travels all over the world to learn different styles and techniques.

 

 

 

Ivanna Romero
Ivanna Romero was born in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. She is currently working part time for the provincial Government of Manitoba.  She is also a full time international student majoring in IDS (International Development Studies), coursing her last year of University and working towards her PGWP (Post Graduate Work Permit). She also considers herself as a farmer during the weekends at a farm located southwest of Manitoba where they raise turkey, chicken, pigs and lamb. She is a mother of twenty plants and cacti.
